Selena expressed her gratitude towards her fans and friends for their support and love but announced that she would be taking some time off from social media.
The singer went live on Tik Tok Thursday and announced her break amidst criticism about her appearance. She has been open about her struggles with mental health and lupus diagnosis and recently shared a self-love message in response to the criticism. Selena Gomez and Haylie Bieber Drama
Of course, chatter on the internet is buzzing that it’s a coincidence that the actress is taking a break given the Hailey Bieber drama from this week. Perhaps that is partly the reason for the hiatus. Gomez posted a video earlier this week in which she noted that her eyebrows were laminated a bit too much. Kylie posted a screenshot of a FaceTime call between herself and Hailey talking about, you guessed it, eyebrows. The caption read “this was an accident?????” and was directed over her own eyebrows. Oh, indeed the Selena fans were not having it and thought it was a direct jab at SG. As we all know, there has long been alleged beef between Selena and Hailey. Many Selena fans are referring to Hailey as a Mean Girl and a Bully.
In response to all the drama, Kylie said that it was a “reach” and she would never throw shade Selena’s way. She added, ‘this is silly.’ Selena responded to Kylie as well, noting that she was a fan of Kylie and that the whole chatter about eyebrowgate was unnecessary.
Another Jenner/Hailey coincidence
I don’t know, folks. Let’s not forget that Kylie’s sister Kendall and her alleged new boyfriend Bad Bunny were on a double date with Justin and Hailey Bieber on Sunday. Is this all just a coincidence? I am getting the mean girls vibe. All in all, I definitely don’t like it. At this point, with Hailey thrown in the mix, it definitely doesn’t help and adds more fuel to the fire.
Selena returned to Instagram last month after a four-year hiatus, but she assured her fans that she would be back soon.
