Model Olivia Culpo and San Francisco 49ers player Christian McCaffrey are engaged! Culpo made the announcement on her Instagram page on Friday, posting a photo of McCaffrey on one knee with her hands covering her face in astonishment.

The couple has been dating for nearly four years, and McCaffrey proposed with a Ring Concierge-designed ring while they were on vacation in Utah. The CEO and founder of Ring Concierge, Nicole Wegman, shared that they worked with McCaffrey and carefully crafted a ring that captures Olivia’s distinctive style yet is still timeless. The Couple’s Romance

McCaffrey’s like on an Instagram photo posted by Culpo in May 2019 prompted initial dating rumors between the two. A few months later, the two were seen vacationing in Mexico.

Culpo, 30, previously stated that she was willing to break from her rule against dating athletes again after previous failed relationships (Tim Tebow, Ryan Lochte and Danny Amendola). However, with McCaffrey, he was different. She told Entertainment Tonight that “he fulfills all my expectations and never has to worry about anything, adding that there is the hesitation to date an athlete based on their reputation, no disrespect intended”. 

The couple’s relationship is based on their shared faith, and despite the distance they must endure while McCaffrey travels for the football season, Culpo has shown him support. When it was announced that McCaffrey would be relocating to the West Coast after being traded from the Carolina Panthers to the 49ers, the former Miss Universe praised her boyfriend on Instagram. She wrote about how proud she was of her fiance and how excited she was for the next chapter in California, adding, “Niners Nation, let’s go!”

Culpo and McCaffrey were introduced by friends and celebrated their third anniversary with an Instagram post. She wrote how grateful she was that something inside her encouraged her to be open for love once again. She spoke of McCaffrey being her rock and how he was everything than she ever imagined.
