The famous promoter, Insomniac who is behind the Music & Arts Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) — which also owns a stake in Miami’s Club Space — is launching its own festival at sea. The festival giant has announced its newest event, EDSea, a music festival at sea, the ocean-bound version of its popular dance-music festival will set sail in November aboard the Norwegian Joy departing from PortMiami. 

The world-class Norwegian Joy offers five cabin options to reserve, including Interior Rooms, Ocean View Rooms, Balcony Rooms, Suites, and the highly exclusive Haven Suites. This premium offering entails luxurious accommodations on the top decks of the ship complete with personal butler service, 24-hour concierge service, and a private sun deck.

Are you ready to experience the first ever EDSea Music Festival? EDC is bringing its signature style of music and art to the high seas with its new event, EDSea! A five-day itinerary has been released: 

The music festival will be held aboard the Norwegian Joy and will depart from Miami, Florida on November 4th, 2023. This is the ultimate experience for electronic music fans. 

A lineup has yet to be announced, but EDSea will feature eight “marine-themed” stages with “topnotch curators across the electronic music scene,” according to a press release. 

 It will also have 15 decks of entertainment, a go-kart track, laser tag, specialty dining, and 24-hour concierge service. The cruise will take you to the exclusive island of Great Stirrup Cay for an exclusive island party before returning to Miami. Not only will you get to enjoy the music, but you’ll also get to explore the Caribbean Sea, its islands, and its culture.

This is a unique way to experience electronic music. EDC has transformed many of the ship’s existing spaces to offer “late-night dance parties” and “art installations you can find at any Electric Daisy Carnival event”.

This is not the first time Insomniac has tried to make a festival at sea happen. In 2018, it took control of the Holy Ship! festival, which similarly sailed from Miami to the Bahamas. After pandemic cancellations, it resumed as a land-based event called Holy Ship! Wrecked, which was last held in December 2022 on the Mayan Riviera in Mexico with a lineup featuring Chris Lake, Nicole Moudaber, and SG Lewis, among others.
