Jimmy Kimmel returned for a third time to host the Oscars, which were aired live from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once” was the big winner of the night. “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once,” which was co-written and co-directed by Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan, had the most nominations and had already won the top awards from the Writers Guild, Producers Guild, Directors Guild and Screen Actors Guild. They were heavily favored to sweep the Oscars.
Previously, Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Ke Huy Quan won Screen Actors Guild Awards before Quan and Curtis won Oscars for best supporting actor and best supporting actress on Sunday night, while Yeoh was recognized with the Oscar for best actress. History was made last night as Yeoh was the first actress of Asian descent to win in the Best Actress category. EEAAO took home seven awards out of their 11 nominations. Incredible!
